Exciting opportunity to work for one of Canberra’s largest community sector organisations. We’re looking for a passionate and experiences specialist behaviour support practitioner to join our Clinical Service team in Canberra. Working as part of a team of psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists, you’ll provide person centred functional and environmental assessments and interventions to promote independence and quality of life.
Your role as a specialist behaviour support practitioner with CatholicCare will be to work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Mental Illness and other Complex Diagnoses and their formal and informal support networks. Working from a Person Centred and Trauma Informed approach, you will be responsible for assessing, designing and delivering interventions as well as monitoring and evaluating the implementation of positive behaviour support plans in line with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) guidelines.
