The Seniors In Networked Communities (SINC) Program, operates throughout NSW (including the Eurobodalla, Sapphire Coast, Central West Regions and Queanbeyan and Surrounds). Social Workers are needed across all these areas.

The SINC Social Worker positions offer an exciting opportunity for social workers with extensive experience as well as new graduates looking to start their careers.

We are looking to recruit a number of workers to deliver social work services to older people throughout the Eurobodalla, Sapphire Coast, Central West, Queanbeyan and Surrounding regions. Working both with individuals and with groups to assist older people to regain or maintain their independence.

The role offers a variety of work environments, with interventions taking place in individual’s homes, from CatholicCare offices/hubs and in the wider community.

CatholicCare is seeking to employ a number of Social Workers to work within the SINC Program, delivering social work services to older people living in the Eurobodalla, Sapphire Coast, Central West, Queanbeyan and surrounding regions.

The Role


This service delivers social work services to older people throughout areas of NSW, working both with individuals and with groups to assist older people to regain or maintain their independence.

The role offers a variety of work environments, with interventions taking place in individual’s homes, from CatholicCare offices/hubs and in the wider community.

The key responsibilities for the SINC Social Worker will be to work with older people who have been referred by My Aged Care to the SINC Program for Allied Health Services. The SINC Social Worker will be required to work within a person centred, wellness and reablement or restorative framework as outlined in the CHSP Manual to assist individuals to regain or maintain their independence and allow them to remain living in the community.

Ideal person


The ideal person we are looking for has:

  • Tertiary qualification in a social work – eligible for membership to the AASW
  • Experience supporting individuals who are aging, or in a relevant sector
  • Experience coordinating supports or utilising flexibility and initiative to respond to changing and / or complex needs to achieve individual goals
  • Understanding and application of person centeredness and individual choice and control
  • Demonstrated communication and time management skills
  • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Work, Health & Safety and Confidentiality

To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:

  • a current drivers licence, and
  • you will be required to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
