Social work position with competitive salary and benefits Flexible Part Time and Casual positions available The Seniors In Networked Communities (SINC) Program, operates throughout the Southern Highlands of NSW (including but not limited to Batemans Bay, Moruya, Young, Cooma, Bega), Applicant may work across one or multiple areas. This is a flexible position available for Social Workers in NSW! The SINC Social Worker positions offer an exciting opportunity for social workers with extensive experience or new graduates looking to start their careers. The SINC Program delivers social work services to older people throughout the Southern Highlands (including but not limited to Batemans Bay, Moruya, Young, Cooma, Bega), working both with individuals and with groups to assist older people to regain or maintain their independence. The role offers a variety of work environments, with interventions taking place in individual’s homes, from CatholicCare offices/hubs and in the wider community. We are currently seeking a number of Social Workers to work on a casual or part time basis throughout the Southern Highlands Region to work with older people who require social work support to maintain and regain independence. The Role The key responsibilities for the SINC Social Worker will be to work with older people who have been referred by My Aged Care to the SINC Program for Allied Health Services. The SINC Social Worker will be required to work within a person centred, wellness and reablement or restorative framework as outlined in the CHSP Manual to assist individuals to regain or maintain their independence and allow them to remain living in the community.   • Tertiary qualification in a social work – eligible for membership to the AASW
  • Experience supporting individuals living who are aging, or in a relevant sector
  • Experience coordinating supports or utilising flexibility and initiative to respond to changing and / or complex needs to achieve individual goals
  • Understanding and application of person centred working and individual choice and control
  • Demonstrated communication and time management skills
  • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Work, Health & Safety and Confidentiality
To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:
  • a current drivers licence, and,
  • you will also be required to undergo a National Police Check.
