Permanent Part Time Positions available in the ACT and Surrounding NSW Areas

We are currently looking to recruit experienced Cleaners to work throughout the ACT and Surrounding NSW Areas in individuals homes, including those with a disability, mental illness or who are ageing. This role is suited to someone who has good communication and engagement skills, is friendly, reliable and committed to delivering a quality cleaning service to individuals in their own homes.

The Role  

As a Cleaner with CatholicCare you will be provided with all the cleaning products required to fulfil your duties. The cleaning service aims to enable individuals to remain living in their own homes as independently as possible for as long as possible.

The types of support you will be providing include but are not limited to:

  • Vacuuming and mopping floors,
  • Cleaning bathrooms, toilets, kitchens and laundries,
  • Washing and folding laundry,
  • Stripping and making beds, and
  • Other domestic assistance tasks which are required.
Cleaning services vary in length from between 1-3 hours and are delivered during business hours only, we do not provide weekend or afterhours cleaning services. If you would like to work with us to make a positive difference in people’s lives - we want to hear from you!!!

Ideal person  

The ideal person we are looking for has:

  • Experience in providing in home cleaning service.
  • Commitment to providing a quality cleaning service
  • Strong customer focus and good communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals and families.
  • Ability to work independently and safely in an individual’s home.
  • Hold a smart phone which can be used for work purposes, in line with CatholicCare’s BYOD Policy.
To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:
  • a current drivers licence, and
  • a current Working with Vulnerable People Card
You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check.
