The Role As a Support Worker you will work with individuals to help promote reablement, wellness and inclusion. Support Workers will assist individuals to attend social and community activities; assist with domestic care needs, help with meals and food preparation; provide support with personal care and provide transport. The Ideal person The ideal person we are looking for has:

  • Certificate III in Aged / Community Care/ Disability and/or Mental Health or equivalent qualification.
  • An understanding of the issues involved in working with people who are aging.
  • An understanding of what is involved in supporting people to have choice and control over their services and life to increase or maintain independence.
  • Demonstrate awareness of Person Centred Practice and Consumer Directed Care,
  • Current First Aid Certificate,
  • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Work Safety and Confidentiality,
You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check. To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:
  • a Current First Aid Certificate,
  • Current Drivers Licence,
  • Private and On Road Professional Comprehensive Car Insurance and a reliable vehicle.
  • a compatible smart device for Bring Your Own Device purposes.
  • a Working with Vulnerable People Card [ACT Staff]
