Manage a team of highly skilled psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists



We’re growing and we’re looking for a passionate and talented Manager to join our Allied Health services in Canberra. Overseeing a team of psychologists, social workers and Occupational Therapists, you’ll manage the day to day delivery of CatholicCare’s Allied Health services, and ensure the provision of high quality services to vulnerable and at times disadvantaged people within the community.


The Role


Your key responsibilities as a manager will include overseeing the day to day management and delivery of our Allied Health Services including Stepping Stones, Better Access, NDIS Counselling, Cognitive Assessments, Positive Behaviour Support and therapeutic groups. Collectively these services provide evidence based interventions to adults, children and young people experiencing mental health issues. As well as ensuring the delivery of high quality, evidence based therapeutic services, you will ensure contractual obligations including KPIs are met, provide support to staff and liaise with key stakeholders. You will also work closely with the portfolio Director to grow our profit for purpose services. Selection Criteria


The ideal person we are looking for has:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in a human services field such as Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience working in the mental health sector with adults, youth and children with complex needs.
  • Commitment to and proficiency delivering evidence-based practice
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise, develop and manage a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage your time well
  • Current Driver’s Licence and Working with Vulnerable People Card


Desirable


  • 2 or more years of management experience within a clinical team
  • Registration as a Psychologist through AHPRA, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, Mental Health Occupational Therapist.
