Private: Suicide Prevention

The Health in Mind (HiM) Suicide Prevention Program provides intensive short-term support over 1-2 months for people experiencing thoughts of suicide. The service offers a number of face-to-face sessions with a specially trained Mental Health Social Worker or Psychologist to learn strategies to keep yourself safe.

To access this program you need to be referred by a GP, Mental Health Clinician, a Psychiatrist, the CATT team, an Emergency Department doctor, or a Mental Health Nurse. Once your referral has been received our staff will contact you within 24 hours and offer you an appointment within 72 hours of contact.

Appointments are offered at our Red Hill and Watson offices and in some occasions over the phone.

For more information you can contact the program Manger on 6162 6100.
