Hands On Studio is a creative and inclusive art program that provides people with varying disabilities and psychosocial issues access to art. The program is housed within M16 ARTSPACE in Griffith. The studio offers ten classes per week (Monday to Saturday). These classes include painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture. The classes are taught in a person centered approach giving the students the opportunity to work independently or in collaboration with their peers and tutor.
Hands On Studio promotes development of artistic skills, fine motor skills, social skills, confidence, self-esteem, freedom in making choices and creative expression. Artists can realise a sense of personal achievement through exhibition of their work at events in the community.
The Hands On Studio is a registered NDIS provider. Classes are also available to non-NDIS participants for a fee.
