As a registered Provider under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing, CatholicCare manages a diversity of properties and tenancies within best-practice social landlord and tenancy frameworks.

AXIAL – A Housing First Initiative

AXIAL Housing is a pilot program based on Housing First Principles, providing wrap-around support and permanent accommodation to people sleeping rough on the street with high and complex support needs.

CHOICES

The CHOICES program provides a range of individually tailored services to support participants with their NDIS goals and increase their independence and social interactions within their homes and communities. These services can include support with housing, home maintenance and gardening.

Living In Networked Communities (LINC)

The LINC program offers sustainable and supportive housing options for people with a disability to live independent and active lives. Three networks throughout Canberra, located in Belconnen, Weston Creek and Casey, encourage people to form relationships with other members of the network and the wider community.

MACKILLOP House – Residential Service for Women

MacKillop House provides temporary shared accommodation for women and children experiencing homelessness and/or leaving domestic and family violence. The program operates up to 20 single private bedrooms and six townhouses which can accommodate mothers with their children while receiving support to secure long-term, suitable housing.

Referrals for MacKillop House are made through Onelink, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm on 1800 176 468. For more information you can contact the MacKillop House Manager on 6162 6100.

MINOSA House – Residential Service for Men

MINOSA (Men In Need Of Support Accommodation) provides supported accommodation for men over the age of 18 experiencing homelessness. Residents can stay for a period up to 3 months while accessing supports to assist people to find secure and sustainable accommodation.

MINOSA offers supported accommodation for 6 men as well as a three-bedroom transitional house providing an additional level of independence for those no longer requiring intensive supports.

ARAMAC House – Mental Health Supported Accommodation for Men

At ARAMAC House, men with severe and enduring mental illnesses and associated psychosocial disability, are supported to live in shared accommodation within the community, to regain and maintain living skills and to work on their personal recovery.

ARAMAC House is a newly built unit complex made up of 8, 2 bedroom, fully furnished units One of the 8 units is utilised as a community space and is a base for group activities and for sharing meals and social time together.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM

CatholicCare has a growing affordable housing portfolio, offering people with low to medium incomes with housing options. This includes the operation of the Toolangi complex in a mixed-housing model with the ACT Government.

RETIREMENT VILLAS

CatholicCare’s two retirement villas, Aloysius Morgan in Campbell and St Vincent’s in Aranda, offer 33 two and three bedroom properties providing independent living and connections to support or community programs where desired.
