What is the Mindscope program?

Mindscope is an innovative program designed especially for eligible members as part of our suite of specialist mental health services. The program is completely voluntary and is funded through individuals private health cover.

Our Mindscope team provides evidence based, therapeutic care services to people experiencing mental health concerns, supporting them to live well in their community. Participants have access to a suite of therapeutic and recovery based supports delivered by a specialist multidisciplinary team made up of psychologists, occupational therapists, registered nurses and social workers.

With no issue too big or too small, Mindscope’s support is targeted to meet each individual’s unique needs.

Who is eligible?

The program is available to individuals with private health insurance, including full psychiatric cover. Eligible funds include Bupa Health Insurance.

The program is targeted towards health insurance customers in the ACT and surrounding region who have experienced overnight admissions to hospital for mental health treatment and support.

To find out if you are eligible, contact the Mindscope team during office hours on: 02 6162 6100 or send an email to [email protected].

What are the benefits of enrolling?

By enrolling in the program, your private health insurer will fund appropriate community mental health treatment provided by Mindscope.

Treatment and support are delivered in different ways, depending on what best suits your situation, including: outreach (visits at home or in community settings); clinic appointments; telehealth and group activities.

The Mindscope suite of services are committed to providing you with the support you need, suited to your personal circumstances, based on best practice and making a real difference to your mental health recovery.

Can I keep going to my treating doctor?

If you are eligible to participate and you agree to enroll in the program, you can continue to see your own current treating health professional (if you have one).

If you do participate in the program, with your permission, Mindscope will notify your treating doctor of your participation in the program and request any clinical information that may be of assistance in developing your recovery support plan.

How do I enrol in the program?

Enrolling in the program is voluntary. You must have an active private health insurance policy to be eligible.

If you choose to enrol, you will be able to withdraw at any time during the program if you wish to do so.

To engage in the service, contact our Mindscope team during office hours on: 02 6162 6100 or send an email to [email protected].
